Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by Knowledge Grid, LLC, Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Knowledge Grid, LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Our research and development team operates through AQ Technologies Sp. z o.o., ul. Łucka 15 lok. 205, 00-842 Warszawa, Poland, which acts as our establishment in the European Union.
If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at solutions@knowledgegrid.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
This website has several forms — a contact form, a partner enquiry form, a careers application, a resource-library request and a support request. Depending on the form, we ask for some or all of the following:
- First name and last name
- Work email address
- Company name and your role
- Phone number (optional)
- Your area of interest, and anything you write in the message field
- Whether you have opted in to receive updates from us
You choose what to put in these fields. Please do not send us sensitive personal data, or confidential information belonging to your employer, through a web form.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting platform records standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you view and the time of your visit. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure and understand aggregate traffic patterns.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry. When you contact us about our products or services, we use your details to reply and to follow up. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us, and, where a discussion leads towards an agreement, the steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To send you updates. Where you have ticked the box asking for updates, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
- To consider your job application. Where you apply for a role, we use your details to assess your application. Our legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.
- To run and secure the website. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, functional and protected from abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
This website is built and hosted on Wix. Wix.com Ltd processes the data you submit through our forms and the technical data described above, on our behalf and on our instructions, in order to host the site, deliver its content and handle form submissions.
We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to do so, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International transfers
We operate in the United States and in Poland, and our hosting provider operates internationally. This means your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the country you live in, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, that transfer is made under a transfer mechanism recognised by applicable data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted once it is clear they will not; records connected to a customer or partner relationship are kept for the life of that relationship and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep them.
Cookies
This site sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. They are listed in full, with what each one does, in our Cookie Notice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Ask us to delete your data
- Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these, email solutions@knowledgegrid.com. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
Children
This is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use personal data we already hold, we will take reasonable steps to tell the people affected.
